At Naturopathica, we believe in taking a holistic approach to nurturing our bodies. Rooted in the principles of naturopathic medicine—a healing tradition that connects the body’s internal activities with outer forces like nature, diet, and movement—all of our spa services and formulas are centered around harnessing the power of herbs, botanicals, and natural modalities.
our story
Our story has always been rooted in our spas, beginning with the opening of our East Hampton Healing Arts Center. Today, we operate six of our own spas, with over 270 professional spas proudly using our formulas and offering our treatments across North America.
Naturopathica began at our East Hampton Healing Arts Center, originally established as an herbal apothecary before expanding to offer massages and facials that utilize the healing power of touch. This same healing mindset extends to our skincare formulations, meticulously crafted without any ingredients known to be toxins or harmful to the body. In fact, two of our original formulas—Calendula Essential Hydrating Cream and Carrot Seed Soothing Facial Oil—were born from our founder’s search for a remedy to ease her mother’s aggravated skin while undergoing cancer treatment, turning to soothing botanicals like Calendula flowers. These very formulas remain some of our best-sellers to this day.

Our ingredients
Naturopathica began as a pharmacy of flowers and plants, used by our founder Barbara Close to treat imbalances on the skin and in the body. Today, we employ dozens of pure plant extracts in our serums, cleansers, masks, and other treatments. Responsibly harvested and expertly chosen for each unique skin concern, our ingredients are revered for their potency, efficacy, and pure, long-lasting results.
